Thank you

Last month, Billy and I debuted our first gallery show after having only six days to churn out everything that went into it, including a rush order of framed prints from Tribeca, as many film prints as New York’s only surviving color processor could produce, and all the promotion the Instagram algorithm would allow.

For how harried we were all weekend, making sure the event ran smoothly, it was incredible to see so many friends and loved ones in the same place. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to show up for us, and hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did.

On a personal note, while I’ve always felt photography is a particularly empathetic art medium, capable of elegantly and efficiently communicating memories to strangers, the current infotech landscape affords few opportunities for someone like me to engage with any audience aside from seeing Instagram likes or hearing about page hit numbers on Mixmag’s website. So, to see everyone experience the work in their own way was a very special experience for me, and certainly one that will inform my photography practice going forward and the decisions we’ll make regarding future shows.

The photos from the “Effigies” show are now available for purchase, and if you are inclined to do so, this would best be done by just shooting me an email at daviddmcgrawjr@gmail.com with the title of the piece you are interested in, and we can take it from there. Here's a direct link to the images: https://www.jumpingwideopen.nyc/effigies-gallery. For the photos from this particular show, we’re also offering free delivery and installation of in New York City and NJ.

We plan to use this newsletter on a monthly basis, as we roll out more events and photo offerings. There is a lot in store that we’re excited to share with you in the coming months. Thank you again, and please keep in touch!

In gratitude,

David McGraw Jr.
